Half Day Preschool Program
First Baptist Weekday Education Center is a non-profit preschool that has been in business for over 30 years! Our purpose and desire is to help each child realize that he or she is an important part of God's creation. We offer a half-day preschool program that focuses on providing a nurturing and educational environment for children.
One-Year Old Class
Our 1-year-old classroom introduces social skills using music, art, play and dance. Our 1 year olds learn to play and share with others. They touch on teaching fine motor and gross motor skills. They do a variety of arts and crafts. Their teachers encourage independence and social growths.
2-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 2-year-old preschool class is designed to introduce young children to a structured learning environment. Our experienced teachers focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. We use age-appropriate activities and games to help children develop their motor skills, social skills, and cognitive abilities.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 3-year-old preschool class is designed to build on the skills and knowledge gained in our 2-year-old class. Our curriculum focuses on developing language skills, problem-solving abilities, and social-emotional skills. We provide a variety of hands-on learning experiences to help children explore and learn about the world around them. We begin working on identification of letters and numbers as well as recognizing and writing our names. The 3 year old classroom begins working more diligently on fine motor skills such as cutting and holding our writing utensils correctly.
4- Year Old Preschool Class
Our 4-year-old classrooms are very structured environments as we prepare your children for Kindergarten. We focus on letters, sounds, numbers, shapes, table work as well as social and emotional skills. This is where your child's independence will thrive. We expand on previous self-help skills and following more than 2 step directions. They continue working on fine motor skills as well as gross motor skills.
